En effet, avec leurs projets exp\u00e9rimentaux et leurs d\u00e9monstrations scientifiques, les \u00e9tudiants de l\u2019ULB sont les fers de lance de cette activit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>Les projets pr\u00e9sent\u00e9s autour du th\u00e8me<strong> Explorations <\/strong>ont \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7us par les \u00e9tudiants (niveau bachelier et master) de la Facult\u00e9 des Sciences, de Sciences Biom\u00e9dicales (Facult\u00e9 de M\u00e9decine), de l\u2019\u00c9cole Polytechnique de Bruxelles et de l&rsquo;\u00c9cole interfacultaire de Bioing\u00e9nieurs.<\/p>\n<p>Cette ann\u00e9e encore, crise sanitaire oblige, nous vous proposons une <strong>\u00e9dition virtuelle de notre exposition<\/strong>. On parle de gravitropisme. Or, dans l\u2019espace, il s\u2019agit de microgravit\u00e9, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire un nouvel environnement pour les plantes. Que se passe-t-il r\u00e9ellement dans notre galaxie ? Cette question fait souvent l\u2019objet de r\u00e9ponse plus inventives les unes que les autres. Pour y r\u00e9pondre, il faut explorer, voyager dans ces zones inconnues. Cependant, ce qui nous limite actuellement, est la dur\u00e9e des voyages. Beaucoup de facteur limite les vir\u00e9es spatiales. Ici, nous nous concentrerons sur l\u2019aspect nutritif. En effet, la nourriture n\u2019\u00e9tant pas comestible pour une dur\u00e9e infinie, il vient un stade o\u00f9 l\u2019\u00e9quipage des navettes spatiales arrive \u00e0 court de nourriture et se voit donc oblig\u00e9 de rebrousser chemin et revenir sur terre.<br \/>\nL\u2019objectif de notre stand est de vous informer sur l\u2019une des technologies les plus prometteuse afin d\u2019annihiler le probl\u00e8me de disponibilit\u00e9 de la nourriture au sein des stations spatiales. Le dispositif en question mis en place s\u2019appelle VEGGIE. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un petit syst\u00e8me permettant aux astronautes de cultiver leurs propres aliments d\u2019origines v\u00e9g\u00e9tales, en direct, dans la station spatiale internationale et ce, dans des conditions de luminosit\u00e9 et gravit\u00e9 extr\u00eames compar\u00e9 \u00e0 celles rencontr\u00e9es sur terre. Pourtant ces animaux microscopiques sont plus fascinants qu\u2019ils en ont l\u2019air et ont donc int\u00e9ress\u00e9 Karine Van Doninck . Ces rotif\u00e8res poss\u00e8dent des capacit\u00e9s de r\u00e9sistances aux radiations cosmiques \u00e9tonnantes et beaucoup d\u2019autres adaptations uniques. Parmi eux, les fonds marins. Pourtant, ces milieux ne se trouvent pas dans un noir absolu. D\u00e9couvrons alors ensemble une des origines de cette production de lumi\u00e8re. Elle nous permet notamment de \u00abpeser les \u00e9toiles\u00bb. En observant le mouvement d&rsquo;une \u00abpetite masse\u00bb (par exemple une plan\u00e8te) en orbite autour de l&rsquo;\u00e9toile il est possible d&rsquo;en d\u00e9duire la masse. Mais dans le calcul est pr\u00e9sente la constante gravitationnelle G, a priori inconnue, qu&rsquo;il faut mesurer exp\u00e9rimentalement.
